So berechnen Sie BTU: Schritt für Schritt

Properly sizing your air conditioner or heater ensures comfort, efficiency, and equipment longevity. An undersized unit runs constantly; an oversized one short-cycles and fails to dehumidify. Follow these steps.

  1. Calculate room area. Multiply length by width in feet. For open-concept spaces, include adjacent areas without doors. A 12×12 room = 144 sq ft (13.4 sq m).
  2. Start with the baseline. Use 25 BTU per square foot as the starting point. 144 × 25 = 3,600 BTU. This is the industry standard für average conditions.
  3. Adjust für ceiling height. Multiply by (ceiling height ÷ 8). A 9ft ceiling gets 1.125× multiplier, 10ft gets 1.25×, vaulted 12ft+ gets 1.5× or more.
  4. Apply condition multipliers. Insulation (0.9 good to 1.15 poor), sun exposure (0.9 shady to 1.1 sunny), climate (0.9 mild to 1.15 hot). Multiply all together.
  5. Add occupancy and appliances. Each person over 2 adds ~400 BTU (body heat). A kitchen adds ~4,000 BTU (oven, stove, dishwasher). TVs and computers add ~500 BTU each.

SEER, EER, and Energy Efficiency
